Nonetheless, I am afraid, a great disappointment for your Italian friends.
But don’t take it bad, there’s a good reason behind their disappointment.
When you say Grilled Cheese, any Italian visualizes something like a good tomino grigliato (‘grilled tomino‘, a cheese from Piemonte, in Northern Italy)
Or a scamorza alla piastra (‘grilled scamorza‘, a sort of smoked mozzarella)
Or some provolone
or maybe a good pecorino
Hungry? Hungry indeed.
