Il giovedì santo, ‘holy Thursday’, the thursday before Easter, is celebrated in different ways.
In Tuscany they prepare il pan di ramerino (‘rosmary bread’), a sweet bread with raisins and rosmary; very early in the morning, they bring the dough to the church for the blessing before baking it.
In the beautiful Ischia
on Holy Thursday they use to boiled eggs with some local erbs that make them red
eggs symbolizes life n many cultures, and red reminds of course the blood of Jesus and his Passion.
