#133 I miss estate di San Martino

Estate di San Martino, ‘Saint Martin’s Summer’, is a heat wave in the days around San Martino, November 11th.

Martino was a Roman soldier. One day while he was riding in a very cold winter day, he met a beggar. The poor man was freezing so Martino cut in half his military cloak and give one half to the beggar. Suddenly the sun appeared to award Martino’s generosity.
