Cibo da fiera, ‘fair food’.
A fiera, in Italy, is a big mercato, normally it takes place once a year, very often in the occasion of the celebration of the Patron Saint.
Any place (town, city) has its own typical fair food.
Here’s the one of my childhood: my personal favorite
almonds croccante is the best IMHO
caramelized almonds (or hazelnut, peanuts, sesamy seeds…) in bars basically.
